Hello and thank you all

Thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers. We are all holding up as well as can be expected.
Mum is very poorly, though she still recognizes us, is unable to move or speak. She is resting quite peacefully most of the time, and we sit with her as many hours a day as possible. The staff at the hospice are remarkable, thank goodness there is such a wonderful place.

Blog Sabbatical

I wish that this pronouncement were not necessary under such unfortunate circumstances, but sadly, I have to return to my homeland upon receiving the news that my dearest, darling, mother is gravely ill (advanced pancreatic metastasized cancer), to be with her, and to support the rest of my family.

This means I may be missing for about a month or so. I have logged a few posts which may or may not post, blogger doesn't seem to remember these things properly always! I doubt I will have access to a computer, even if I cared to check one, so don't worry, I promise I will return, and dispense as much loveliness as I can find, (sooner or later)!

For those of you who believe in such matters, please pray for my Mum, her name is Joyce, and my Dad, for my brother and his family, and for the doctors and nurses so they can make what may be a limited time on this mortal plane for Mummy, as peaceful, dignified and comfortable as is possible for my dearest Mother.
